My view on the payments to the members of parliament is simple. Politics should be considered as a profession. We consider it as a way to serve people so anything they get is construed (and in nearly all cases, the returns from their side are not that encouraging) as wastage to state excheaquer. So as a ommon man let's treat politics it as a profession and the salaries drawn by them as remuneration in lieu for their services. However the difficult part is making them make them work for it.
