I bought the HTC EVO and realized that its a CDMA phone. what are all the options that I have to get this worked in India.

If u want to get working this mobile in India that u should buy a tata docomo or reliance cdma .

Currently there are few CDMA provider including TATA and Reliance, if your phone support SIM of CDMA then you can simply use them. However , you need to make sure that your phone is not network locked.
