Releasing this Diwali on October 16, Blue is directed by Anthony D’souza Starring Akshay Kumar, Sanjay Dutt, Lara Dutt, Zayed Khan, and Katrina Kaif with music given by Oscar winner A.R. Rahman, Kylie Minouge and Kabir bedi
The film is about a lost treasure lying 250 feet under sea which three friends Akshay, Sunil Dutt and Zayed khan try to get by risking their lives and lives of others as well. But there is someone in the group who betrays their trust. Lots of publicity has been associated with the film and almost everyone is waiting to see how it turns out.
Blue is a film which has amazing under water sequences and breath taking marine splendor brought forward by Anthony D'Souza, director of Blue.
Sunil dutt (Sagar) is a comman man and Akshay (Aarav) a rich and ambicious businessman. Lara Dutta(Mona) looks gorgeous in her small but significant role. Sam Played by Zayed Khan is Sagars’s brother who has ruffled the Mafia feathers and therefore fled from Bangkok to Bahamas. The mafia men follow suit and it is left to Sagar to bail his brother out of the mess and in the process face the ghost of his dead father.
The film has award wining substance and a must for action and thrill lovers. The water sequences are never seen in India before and one shouldn’t miss this action packed drama at all. The music of the film leaves good impressions on the listener with “chiggy wiggy “ having Kylie has already created an impact. The other tunes”Aaj dil” is melodious and
”fiqrana” is a beautiful composition to look forward to. With A R Rahman giving the music, there is hardly any doubt as to how it will turn out.
Akshay’s performance will keep you rooted and Sanjay is good but looks a little on the heavier side and Zayed Khan performs well and is able to keep pace with the well known and famous co-stars. Katrina Kaif [sp. app.] looks gorgeous and performs exceedingly well. The movie is well planned and executed, a perfect treat to the festive month.
Overall Rating : 4/5 stars.
