LONDON DREAMS: HINDI MOVIE REVIEW
London dreams is a story of two friends Mannu (Salman) and Arjun (Ajay Devgan) who have a common thread in life Music. Arjun is the passionate one to and is on the on set to realize his grandfather’s unfulfilled dreams, where as Mannu is a happy go lucy kind who is contented to be as he is.
Arjun ends up in London and sets up a band with Zoheb [Rannvijay Singh], Wasim [Aditya Roy Kapur] and Priya [Asin], a music enthusiast from a conservative South Indian family. On the other hand Salman makes a living by playing in wedding bands in his village. Arjun takes his friend with him to London where the real Drama starts as Mannu becomes an instant favorite with the crowds and Arjun’s love interest Priya (Asin) too starts liking Mannu. Seeing that whatever Arjun had achieved in years, Salman is achieving in only a few days makes Arjun jealous of his friend and he forges a plan to sabotage his friend’s success. In the end repents realizing his folly.
Again this story is heard and seen before in movies like ROCK ON and SAAJAN or ABHIMAN, where two friends are best pals and some misunderstanding leads them apart. However in this movie the acting played by both Ajay and Salman is simply a treat with real intense act put up by Ajay. The film is on music with love for it being an important issue which urges Ajay to follow his dream, but the songs aren’t able to keep up to the pace of the movie despite them being choreographed in an energetic manner. Asin is good in the movie loving called as “Chennai Express” by Salman.
The film has its moments of being high in emotions but the climax and music could have been much better.
OVERALL RATING: 3/5 STARS
