Raat Gayi Baat Gayi: (a one night stand to end all others?)
A story by Saurabh Shukla which talks about marriage and lust outside of marriage.
Rahul(Rajat Kapoot) is a family man and ad maker married to Iravati Harshe(Mitali) who was a sculptor before marriage and gave up her career after it. They both have a daughter and there is trouble in paradise after the couple attend a party where Rahul gets drunk and wakes up with a hangover in a isolated room with Sophia (Neha Dhupia) whome he was flirting with and getting drunk in the process. At home Mitali deserts him and Rahul suspects she knows something that he doesn't as he is unable to remember what had happened the night before. He tries to recall the events but is sadly unable to do so and decides to meet Sophie and end his turmoil. Now his friends, Saxena (Dalip Tahil) and Amit (Vinay Pathak)are going through their own marital crisis of sorts. Together they search for the missing girl and try to end the turmoil in their life.
The story is about a one night stand that men don't mind having even if they are happily married and some get away with it and some don't. The story moves in at a slow pace for the first 25 minutes and then angle after angles keep unfolding. All actors have delevered a fine performance but somewhere something is missing in the movie. The music is Okay and the story not having much to give its viewers. Overall one can see it at home when he/she has nothing to do Or in cinema halls if they like Rajat Kapoor and Sudhir Mishra who hve acted wonderfully in the film.
