Acer and Lenovo are soon going to launch their tablet with Windows 8, it will be powered by Intel's Clover Trail processor. This processor would certainly help in getting the required thinness and a decent Battery life which will be closer to ARM tablets. This tablet is expected to hit the retail markets sometime in the third quarter of 2012.
Intel is also launching a new Medfield processor which will be Android tablet as well as Smartphones. Manufacturer are relying on Intel's Clover Trail platform as they are confident that Wintel based Tablets have a strong possibility to emerge and make a strong and substantial impact on users. However majority of users are currently using Android but the manufacturer are hopeful that after the launch of Windows 8, users will shift their preferences. Experts have forecasted that Windows 8 will offer stiff competition to Android once it is launched.
