I have this small question, I am seeing that from time to time many established companies .. like Jaguar and Land Rover in past and now Auston Martin gets in losses ?

They are in market from years and have their own reputation and brand value then why they become loss making companies ?

I know there is economic slowdown world wide then why companies like Mahindra are interested in this loss making venture ?
