A hunt to clinch "Mr. Eastern India 2012" title came to an end. The Eastern Indian Bodybuilding Championship took place at West Bengal's, a whole two day long. As per the result," Prasenjit Shaw" clinched the title of 'Mr Eastern India 2012' . Mr. Eastern Indian Bodybuilding Championship was concluded at Hazarapur Stadium on Monday.
- As Mr. Prasenjit Shaw titled as 'Champion of the Champions', Kuldeep Dutta declared as the runners up. Kuldeep Dutta belong's to Assam.
- Mr. Prasenjit Shaw also came fist place in 75 kg Category , while R K Manjit Singh took the runners-up position.
- In the 60 kg category, H Santosh Kumar of Manipur emerged victorious while Paritosh Roy of Assam took the second spot.
- In 55 kg, Bikash Kalita and Bappa Mazumdar, both of Assam, emerged as the winner and runners-up, respectively.
- P Romesh Singh and Hemanta Singh, both from Manipur, took the winner and runners-up positions in the 65 kg segment.
From the sources, we came to know that over 200 participants were from Assam, West Bengal, Meghalaya, Manipur, Arunachal Pradesh, Bihar and Jharkhand had participated in the fourth edition of the tournament.

In 70 kg category, Kuldeep Dutta was the winner and L London Singh of Manipur came second.
W Kiran Singh of Manipur defeated his fellow state contestant A Premchand to bag the title in the 75 kg segment.
