One of the leading automajor in India, Mahindra has been caught while testing Mahindra Compact SUV S101 again in Chennai, showing that Mahindra is actively trying to get this vehicle into showrooms as soon as possible.
The S101 (codename) is a compact SUV that would be directly pitched against hatchback buyers and could undercut the Ford EcoSport in price positioning. The latest spyshots of the Mahindra S101 are courtesy Motor Vikatan, and are much more clear images than the ones we have seen earlier. Although the vehicle is highly hidden it does give a fairly good idea of the size and overall shape of this compact SUV.
From the spyshot, it is clear that Mahindra S101 will be a 6 seater compact SUV (thanks to the 3+3 seating). From the pics available on air, it can be assumed that the Mahindra S101 appears to be a proper five-seater compact SUV. From the looks of it, it is being built on a monocoque chassis, monocoque is basically an aircraft or vehicle structure in which the chassis is integral with the body. It also appears to have 14-inch wheels. One can’t make out anything in terms of its looks right now, as it has dummy headlamps and tail-lamps and no grille or bumper.
Will will update all it's details with accurate specification very soon in the upcoming days.
