HTC has been long in rumor to plan the launch of new Android-based devices, including one that emerged online a while ago with the codename of M4 attached to it. The mobile phone, expected to hit the market as a mini version of the HTC One, is now said to have been slated for a June launch, although an official announcement on the matter has yet to be made.
Written by Laura Chen, an analyst at BNP Paribas Securities Taiwan Ltd in a research note to clients.
She was quite positive about HTC’s outlook in the coming months and rated “buy” on the HTC stock, with a NT$325 (US$10.86) target price.
“While some investors are worried about HTC’s execution ability and the uptake of its planned product launches, we believe there is now a better chance of HTC regaining its momentum,” said Laura Chen.
Chen also added that HTC One will be debuting on Verizon in late June, in line with many rumours that we have been hearing for few weeks.
Seems like, HTC is going to have a busy year beginning next month. The company was surprisingly silent until now. It has only announced two devices for global markets – HTC One and Desire 600 – this year but the number is expected to rise starting June.
Let's see when HTC will launch this device.
