I am starting this thread dedicated to the unfamous Gaindtari game.
Which is so common in Indian yet unfamous. I hope every Indian has played it in his childhood. I used to play it in recess till 10nth std. and reccess used to appear so small because its joy and fun.
Here I am mentioning how we used to play and set of rules which we used to follow, also I will mention few skill required for this game.
The Game : Saekentadi
Requirements
This game requires two things, a open field to play and a ball ( preferrebly a soft ball but to make things exciting we used to get soft ball which is actually hard.)
How to play
Its simple, the motive of game was to hit more and more people.
We used to play in two modes..
a. as Team
b. as Individual
As two teams all hits are counted together ie. by me and my team member. And in individual mode, all hits were counted individually, mostly we never used to count but we used to have all detail that who got the most hits and who is the looser ie. most hitted.
Rules
Though rules are not written anywhere but we use to follow follwing:
a. One should remain in decided area.
b. One can hit the ball only from the location where he got the ball.
c. (optional) : If two or more person are persuing the ball and one gets, then can hit others and can be painful so hence this rule was there that if they can touch the person with ball then he cannot hit them ball to them. (To make hard, we used to keep away this rule)
Well,
These were my experience, shall compile more information for other games one by one.
You can give your views and correction and can also post other modified version of this game you might to play.
