Naviscope like software for windows 8 for realtime connection monitor

    Advert.
. . .I remember, when I used to be very new to computers, there was software called naviscope installed on our windows xp which allowed to see what is currently going inside my pc and what is communicating with internet. It had other features like prefetching , advert blocking etc. But best one was realtime report of files being downloaded and if you want to cancel then you just click on it and get canceled. You sometimes I miss it as I want to keep track of connection made by software installed on my computer to internet. Without it looks people are coming and going out of my house without my knowledge. Now Naviscope is no more developed, is there any other option for it which can be used on windows 7 or windows 8 ?

Don't know any such software, you can use some free proxy server and see their logs for requests made but it will not be real time as was with naviscope you mentioned.
