India's tour of Australia is heading towards a total disaster with almost every test ending before five days. Sunil Gavaskar has strongly reacted to this humiliating performance of Indian Cricket Test team and has asked some senior players to retire from the team.
He has reacted in a private channel by saying that What India now need to do very, very quickly is to look forward and not backward. If it unfortunately means that we have to say goodbye to some of the players who have served the country for so long and so wonderfully, that we have to do," Gavaskar said when asked where Indian cricket was going after the team was bundled out for 161 in the third test against Australia in Perth on Friday.
He however clarified that he is not suggesting that the entire team should be axed and captain should be axed because of ill performance of the team. He also suggested that it is a time that selectors should a hard stand and take some tough decision. The former captain also expressed disappointment that Indian bowlers were outperformed by their relatively inexperienced Australian counterparts. He expressed grief that this was the best time to win a series on Australian land and that the opportunity was lost.
Should Team India senior players retire or it's just the Australian pressure that is playing a negative role???
